Apply for the Downtown Titusville Facade Improvement Grant

APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Attend mandatory workshop: on October 25th at 5:30 PM. The workshop will be held in the 2nd floor Towne Square Conference Room. 110 West Spring Street, Titusville, PA.
2. Speak to a staff person: Discuss your project before you start the application. Make sure it’s eligible.
2. Obtain and Review Application Package: Applications may be picked up from the Titusville Community Development Agencies office located in the Towne Square building, 2nd Floor, Suite 200. Or by calling the GTDF office at 814-827-3668 or click on Download File below.
3. Complete Application: Once submitted, the application will be reviewed for completeness and eligibility. The application will then be referred to the GTDF Board of Directors for review and final decision Projects will be evaluated with regard to their adherence to the Downtown Titusville Facade Improvement Project Design Guidelines, visual impact, building location, economic impact, and the applicant’s ability to complete the proposed project in a timely fashion. Grants will be awarded until the funds are exhausted. All applicants will be notified in writing of determinations regarding their applications.

- Detailed Project Description
- Quote from a qualified Contractor
- Contractor’s Certificate of Insurance
- Approval letter from owner (if applicable)
- Two current color digital photos of the façade to be improved
- Proof real estate taxes are paid
- Verification of current property insurance
- Plans or sketches of the proposed façade improvements
- Itemized budget of project
- Statement of source of private matching funds

The Greater Titusville Development Foundation (GTDF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides an avenue for concerned persons to donate funds to projects within the Titusville Area through tax deductible contributions. The GTDF Downtown Titusville Facade Improvement Project is one of many ways these DONATIONS are used to make our community a better place to live and visit.
The Facade Improvement Project provides a dollar-for-dollar match up to $5,000 to businesses investing in
downtown building facade improvements.
The goal of the project is to improve the appearance of downtown Titusville, creating a pleasant
atmosphere that embraces the historical character of the Queen City.

Since the inception of the Downtown Titusville Façade Improvement Project in August of 2016, the Greater Titusville Development Foundation has awarded $180,495 in grants which led to $637,000 in improvements to our downtown! Anyone who owns or leases commercial property in the downtown Titusville area is eligible to apply for a GTDF Downtown Titusville Façade Improvement Project grant. Business owners who lease their storefront may apply with the written approval of the building owner.
